Things to do near
Casita Fort Worth

Our favorite ways to spend a few days in Fort Worth and the greater DFW area, with drive times from the house.

Game day in Arlington

AT&T Stadium hosts the Cowboys, college bowl games, concerts and major soccer matches; Globe Life Field is next door for Rangers baseball. Park once and walk the entertainment district, then come home to a quiet street instead of a crowded hotel.

A weekend at the Stockyards

Catch the longhorn cattle drive at 11:30 AM or 4 PM, browse Western wear on Exchange Avenue, two-step at Billy Bob’s, and stay for the Friday and Saturday night rodeo at Cowtown Coliseum.

Family days

Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor fill a summer day. The Fort Worth Zoo, the Botanic Garden, and the neighborhood parks with playgrounds and a duck pond are easy half-day outings with little ones.

Museums and downtown

The Cultural District pairs the Kimbell Art Museum with the Modern and the Amon Carter, all free or low cost. Finish downtown at Sundance Square and the Fort Worth Water Gardens.
